What Is a Biostimulator?
Biostimulators are a class of cosmetic treatments designed to naturally enhance the body’s regenerative processes, promoting the production of collagen, elastin, and other structural components of the skin. Unlike traditional fillers that provide immediate volume, biostimulators work over time to restore and rejuvenate the skin from within, offering more natural and longer-lasting results. They can be made from various materials, including poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra® Aesthetic), calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse®), and autologous substances like Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF+). Biostimulators are used to improve skin texture, volume loss, wrinkles, and thinning hair, providing a holistic approach to anti-aging and cosmetic enhancement).
Renuva®
Renuva® is a cutting-edge biostimulator that uses an allograft adipose matrix to naturally augment and regenerate tissue. Injected into areas requiring volume enhancement or contour correction, Renuva® acts as a scaffold, encouraging the body’s own fat cells to populate the area. Over time, it integrates with the body’s tissues, promoting the generation of new fat cells and connective tissue for natural volume enhancement. Ideal for smoothing out irregularities, scars, or aging hands, Renuva® offers a minimally invasive option for lasting improvements without the need for donor site surgery.
Hyperdilute Radiesse®
Hyperdiluted Radiesse® is a biostimulatory dermal filler that, when injected, not only smooths wrinkles but also encourages the body’s own collagen production for longer-lasting results. It is composed of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. Hyperdilute Radiesse is also blended with sterile saline and lidocaine to enhance the capability of the product. Over time, the gel is absorbed, and the body metabolizes the CaHA particles, leaving behind natural collagen. Radiesse® is commonly used for facial lines, volume loss, and contouring, providing both immediate and enduring enhancements.
Sculptra® Aesthetic
Sculptra® Aesthetic uses poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) to gradually stimulate the body’s natural collagen production. Unlike immediate fillers, Sculptra® works over time, enhancing facial volume and reducing wrinkles and folds by reinforcing the skin’s structural foundation. It’s injected into the deeper layers of the skin and is particularly effective for treating facial volume loss, deep lines, wrinkles and gluteal enhancements. The results are not instantaneous but develop over several months, offering a natural-looking, long-lasting improvement.
Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF+)
Highly potent, pharmaceutical-grade Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF+) can help activate collagen and elastin production, stimulate stem cell migration, and promote new blood vessel formation for visibly firmer, smoother, and healthier skin. PDGF+ can be injected into areas such as the under-eyes, nasolabial folds, crepey neck skin, and scalp to improve skin quality or stimulate hair regrowth. In many cases, the treatment can also be combined with microneedling, laser treatments, and other aesthetic services to enhance healing and overall outcomes.
PDO Thread Lift
The PDO Thread Lift is a minimally invasive procedure that aims to address sagging facial tissue. By placing absorbable surgical threads underneath the skin and gently tightening them, the treatment can achieve a subtle lift for an overall rejuvenated facial appearance.
