What Is CoolTone?

CoolTone is a body contouring treatment cleared by the FDA for strengthening, toning, and firming the abdominal muscles, as well as the thighs and buttocks. Through magnetic muscle stimulation (MMS), the target area gradually becomes stronger, helping to create a more defined and toned appearance. CoolTone is often paired with CoolSculpting®, which uses cooling energy to destroy excess fat cells.

What Are the Benefits of CoolTone?

CoolTone is an innovative procedure that can provide a variety of benefits for men and women, including the following:

How Does CoolTone Work?

CoolTone delivers magnetic muscle stimulation to the abdomen, thighs, or buttocks. This MMS technology is delivered to the muscles causing them to contract, and in response to this, they are strengthened. Unlike CoolSculpting, which freezes fat cells, CoolTone addresses the muscle fibers by conditioning them, which helps create a more defined look to the target area. The entire process typically takes about 30 minutes, per treated area.

Does CoolTone Hurt?

Most patients report having little to no discomfort during treatment. The beginning of the CoolTone procedure may create a warm sensation with intense muscle contractions, which should go away after a few minutes. In rare cases, CoolTone can cause a side effect of mild cramping after treatment.

Am I a Candidate for CoolTone?

The best way to learn if you are a candidate for CoolTone is to schedule a consultation with our team to undergo a physical examination. In general, you should be at or near your goal weight, have a healthy body mass index (BMI), and maintain a routine fitness regimen. Please note that CoolTone is not intended for weight loss, and it should only be used for toning and defining an isolated area.

When Will I See My CoolTone Results?

Most patients can benefit from a series of four CoolTone treatments, with one to two performed per week. Improvement is typically noticeable after two to three sessions. However, the rate at which you see your results will be influenced by how in shape you are, your overall body composition, and the intensity of your treatment.
